Monday, May 21st, 6-9pm
$30/person. Open to the Public.
Beginners to advanced printmakers! Come hang out and make monotypes with us. Use our Griffin Series IV etching press 66″ x 40” printing bed and our smaller Griffin press. We will provide basic etching ink, soaking tray, brushes, and beveled plexiglass.
*You bring your own printmaking paper. Please make sure you bring the proper printmaking paper. It should preferably be 100% cotton.
If you have never made monotypes, please come right at 6pm for instruction. We will be on hand to guide you if you are new to printing. Experienced printers can get right to work and/or stop in anytime 6-9 (you must pre-pay online).
NO refunds unless class is cancelled.
*This class also fulfills the workshop requirement to use our press if you want to become a locker artist. Locker artists get 24 hour access to our facilities for $225/month + a one time fee of $100 and a intro workshop (this class fulfills this requirement).
**Current Compound Artists, you must pay to print during this time. If you have already taken this and are checked off to use the etching press, you can print any other time on your own. Current Compound Studio Artists can use a S.T.A.K.E for a $20 discount. Please enter STAKE1 at checkout and bring your S.T.A.K.E to the orientation.
